St. Giles Church in Prague is a unique cultural monument, searched for by both domestic and foreign tourists. The church is administered by the Dominican Order, and the Dominicans also lead the large Parish of St. Giles spiritually as well as organisationally. Here is a view from the church tower.


This Church of St. Giles is a Prague monument searched for by visitors coming to Prague, as it is admired for its beautiful Gothic architecture with a nice interior treated in the Baroque style. On these www sites you can make yourself familiar with the rich history of the Church.


The Monastery of the Order of Preachers (known as the Dominican Order) is adjacent to St. Giles Church and the Dominicans are administrators of the Parish of St. Giles and of other parishes situated in the Prague Old Town, they organise holy masses and provide other church services, such as foreign-language wedding ceremonies in Prague (English, French, Polish).


The Church and Monastery of St. Giles in Prague is also a cultural and educational centre. There are organised concerts of classical and spiritual music, a number of lectures, discussions and exhibitions.

 

St. Giles Church in Prague is also the place where Miloš Forman filmed Mozart´s wedding stage in his famous film Amadeus.
